We are special because of our local affiliation with Sarasota with 4 out of 8 realtors are natives to the area; one was the mayor of Sarasota for 15 years. We offer a specialized buying and selling process that is specific to that buyer or sellers needs. We have been selling in the area since 1982 inland properties and waterfront properties as a specialty. All of our agents give back to the commodity in some way and feel it fits into the culture and lifestyle we promise to our clients, integrity is first and foremost. We are a dog friendly office. We network locally, nationally and globally to a specific target market.
Our challenge is that we could work with more seller as the inventory of listings is at an all time low so a good time for a seller’s market. We offer a unique listing process. We succeed in working with buyers and taking our time to show them all the lifestyles Sarasota has to offer not just waterfront. The downtown culture, the beaches, golf communities and family neighborhoods, and great schools. So we help them streamline the process so that they can get back to enjoying Sarasota.
I got started in my career in college at Sante Fe Community College in Gainesville, Florida. My economics professor suggested that I take Real Estate as an elective credit; I aced the test and he said “go ahead and try to take the state exam”; Again I aced it, came home from college and sold time share at Sea Club V on Siesta and then Lido Beach Resort. It lead me to Arvida in 1983 as rental agent/manager on Longboat Key until 1993. They say when your passion intersects knowledge and skill you are in the right place. We love what we do!
Advise I would give to someone is to try to find your passion intersection. Work and be nice to those you work with and earn their trust. There is no greater joy than to love what you do because there is always something you will not like about the day to day operations of your business. Learn as much as you can; disclose ALL that you know which always equals integrity and repeat and referral business. We like to call it “putting the handshake back in the deal.” Oh and make time to enjoy Sarasota yourself it is easier to sell when you live and believe in it too!
