Privacy Policy
At The Longboat Key Chamber of Commerce, we value your patronage and your privacy. This notice describes how we protect your privacy when we collect and use information about you, and the measures we take to safeguard that information. We use your information for our everyday business purposes. We do not sell your information.
We do not share personal information with outside entities. We may offer “email blasts” or do mailings from time to time where member and/or Chamber promotions are sent to the members. We do not disclose the mailing list to the promoter – it is e-mailed on a “blind-CC” basis where the individual addresses are not disclosed to the promoter.
Whatever a member and/or business chooses to include in its profile is published for the public in our Member Lookup section of the website and in our printed directory. We have no control of where or how that may be viewed and/or copied. It is the member’s choice about what information is presented in that database. It is reviewed by the member yearly to maintain accuracy.
We capture and retain some financial information in order to accept payments. This never includes full cardholder information, PIN numbers, CVC numbers or any other information prohibited to be captured and retained by the Card Processing Companies with whom we contract. Any confidential cardholder information is passed to our payments processing gateway and subsequently to the payments processor. It is not retained.
These entities (processors, etc.) are PCI qualified at the highest level and we use the processor approved encryption methodologies (e.g. SSL) to transmit that data. We retain only the information about our customer’s transactions that enable us to account for and audit our internal financial records. Our gateway and processor retain securely the necessary transaction information for their processing and the possible reversal and/or chargeback information they need to execute their responsibilities as processors. They do so in PCI and Processor approved secure servers.
If you have any questions about these policies, please contact our office by phone, email, or in person. Our current contact information is located on the website – www.longboatkeychamber.com.
